OEMLAC recently announced the launch of the Community of Practice on Methane (COEMLAC), a regional multi-stakeholder network aimed at technical capacity-building, cooperation, and the exchange of solutions to address the challenge of methane emissions in the energy sector.

COEMLAC serves as a pioneering platform to promote dialogue, share experiences, and coordinate actions among governments, companies, academia, associations, international organizations, and civil society, with an emphasis on the oil and gas sector.

“COEMLAC seeks to develop solutions based on collective knowledge. It is a technical, collaborative, and strategic forum for advancing transparency and methane mitigation in our region.”

Gaston Siroit

OEMLAC Director
